Hawaiian Made Ukuleles
Hawaiian made ukuleles are some of the most sort after ukuleles, not just because of prestige, or koa being endemic to Hawaii, but primarily because of the multi-generational ukulele 'families' that hand-craft ukuleles with unrivalled craftsmanship! Of these 'families', the Kitakis family of Ko'olau are best of the four 'K's' (Kamaka, Kanile'a, KoAloha and Ko'olau), when it comes to custom ukuleles. Their attention to detail is second to none, their craftsmanship unbeatable and their tone, world-class. Each ukulele is handcrafted by John Kitakis' stepson, Noa Bonk at Ko'olau's workshop in Wahiawa, Oahu.
Currently, Ko'olau offers several models, the T1 (all solid koa), T100 (all solid curly koa), Deluxe (master grade curly koa and binding) and CS (contemporary series with Deluxe appointments).
